I am going to ask a stupid question now, how do you know it is the fuel pump? seeing that you are slightly un educated about the current subject? Sorry if i am being straight to the point

Its super easy, really.
You may want to get a new seal for the tank though. I decided to risk using the old one on my S13 and luckily it works perfectly.
Wondering the same thing as SilviaS13 though

What happens when you connect 12v directly to the fuel pump? Is the pump dead or is the fault somewhere else?
I had a problem once where the 'trigger' wire from the ecu to the fuel pump relay had a break in it, leading to the fuel pump not getting any power.
Just trying to possibly save you some money, you may not need to replace the pump. Ofcourse replacing the tired old one with a new one is never a bad thing.

The mechanic was busy with other cars at the time, he did a quick check, he will only do it tomorrow, and i did think maybe there is a relay contact issue, but its hard to convince someone that thinks they are smart, that there could be another cause

Ok... There is a fuel shortage. Is there fuel in the tank?
When last did you change fuel filter?

Its pretty common for the standard pumps to fail at a point, walbro is awesome, fit and forget.
I put a walbro in every single one of my 200's as a first job and never once had problems.
