but you use more fuel if you take your car out of gear when going downhill....just FYI.

OK I have decided to stick with the SR.
From what I know I am going to need the following to get to where I want :
1. Forged pistons
2. Con rods
3. ACL Bearings
4. ARP Bolts
5. Turbo branch
6. Turbo (Garrett GT3076) and 38mm wastegate
7. Management (Perfect Power)
8. Injectors
9. Cometic gasket
Would the above shopping list be enough to get my desired power?

Why Perfect Power???
If you can't afford Apexi or Link or whatever, then go for Nistune. Just my opinion though.

APEXI or Link plug and play FTW

,go that route. will use all your standared sensors
dont go stand alone wire in if you can pick up a P&P for your car. MUCH simpler.

I use APEXI in my Subaru..... works very well. Straight forward plug & play. Easy mapping. Took 30min to fit and set up.

RB25SX wrote:SR is a lot less to build than RB. Pistons, rods, bearings, ARP head studs, Steel or o-ring head gasket, and motor should be good for 300kw. Including supporting mods like turbo and injs, should not cost more than R50K.

I have always liked the Apexi Power FC - who has more details on pricing locally?
I have never really heard of Link.
Please sen me a web link to them, where can it be bought locally?.
Oh and I forgot the clutch.
What would be suitable? I still want to be able to drive it as a daily.
Thanks for all the advice guys.

Apexi has been discontinued for the S14 so that might be a small problem bUT im sure you can find one
ACT clutch works very well on my 350kw RB ,not a day hassle and nice and soft too.
