Neither has mine , but in a perfect world where money isn't an issue , we would all agree with you whole heartedly. Unfortunately we don't all have the luxury of doing our shopping from the top shelves.

Turbo Choices for the SR20DET

I would recommend the Garrett GT3076.

Good for some big power and daily drive ability.

It is going to be my turbo upgrade soon.

.64 for quicker spool , ie : less lag.

Yup agreed with Andre, the higher the AR, the higher the lag, so if you going big spec u want low AR. To reduce lag.

The big question is though, what application do you want to go for with the turbo choice ? You want no lag for robot to robot? Very good midrange to high boost for Drifting? of do you want peak power type boost?

O and that Garret Lessons are brilliant....... Gonna download them when back home..... Figured from that that my turbo should be brilliant for my application :) YAY. Well if I keep it that is, lol

Awesome, but damn expensive!
Which is exactly why I fitted the WR280 ! If I had known a bit better , I would have fitted the WR380.
got the wr380 on my std ca18det. get boost cut at about 0.8 bar. The actuator is set to give the lowest boost, now need to get fmic and then slap management on.

any of u guys know how reliable these turbo's are? if they were to run like on stock boost

I have been running the 280 for about a year now and no hassles at all on minimum boost setting, which is .9. I have just bought the 330 because the 380 apparently only starts to boost at around 3800 + which is to high for daily driver. To much lag

ya, i noticed the late boosting. my ca was boosting from 3k upwards with the gt2560 but u could only feel power from around 4k.

now with this turbo, it feels like its getting ready to lift off like a plane just before boostcut.

cant wait to see and feel the results after fmic and management

i'm getting boost cut even at 0.6 bar as it goes to about 5.8k rpm, looks like afm not able to handle. std boost is 0.8 gets there quick enough but as soon as revs goes up, it cuts

anyone experienced it?
