Wait! Hold up! Lemme add my 2cents :D

Calibrator - please keep insults off this forum! I can tolerate criticism of the 200SX from owners, but I cannot tolerate insults. Phinx can complain and "whine" all he wants, that doesn't warrant insults. If you don't like his posts, don't read his threads.

Phinx, I get what you are saying, and you're perfectly entitled to say it! Again, please keep insults and personal attacks off this forum! If you want to retort, please PM rather than throw personal insults on the public forum.

I AM NOW MAKING THIS A POLICY - Insults will not be tolerated and it will be deleted. Keep at it and I will ban.

Now, here's what I really want to say. I also reached the "end of my tether" with the SX when my injectors started leaking AGAIN, AND my car came back from the mechanics with NEW PROBLEMS! Here's the thing - I drive a Honda S2000, and to be fair, I can just get rid of the SX and never bother again - I can certainly afford to. But, the real kicker is that my heart won't let it go! There's no other car I'd rather have than my SX. No other car pulls at my heart strings the way this car does. And so I HAVE to accept that if I want to keep it, I must spend whatever money and time I have to, to keep it.

From your post, Phinx, I can tell that you do not share the same passion. So my advice to you is, sell the car. Buy something more reliable. You will be better off for it :D

Thank you.

I Really, Really, Really starting to honestly hate this F%#$#king car.

For the past three months the car has only been used about 3 week's in total.

First the pulley failed, then the exhaust gaskets now the water pump.
Maybe I need to fit a rotory there might be less shit
A Rotor will give u more hassles and parts are hell more $$$$ that the RPS13, but that only me!

ANyhows, take the K@K viscious fan off!! That looks to me 2 be the problem!!

oh noooo! looks like i missed a fight!

now mr president, where oh where do we go to read of all this fun?
to delete such pure poetic words spoken in moments of passion is a literary crime against our children's children! if they did that in Egypt, there would not have been drawings inside the pyramids that spoke of what the hardships and pitfalls in the life and times of the Egyptian people were. What about the bushmen? (uhhm what about the bushmen?)
This is history in the making! A kind of shoulder rubbing that is only overshadowed by a renegade lion that infiltrates a pride.

OK whatever... now where do you draw the line? mmm yes, it is probably the oldest moral question of all. Petrolheads do get verbally fluctulent, we all have said something like "oh darn, just look at all this naughty oil and water mixture spraying all over my beautiful corodrive, oh dearie me"
Maybe we have to have guidelines as to where the cutoff would be - take something like "the president is a pussy", now, would that purely hypothetical statement be enough for banishment? (PLEASE don't ban me, that was purely hypothetical)

lovies,
the one and only

Hay Nad_200sx...

When did you join? If I'm not mistaken Nad_200sx own on of the fastest cars in Nissan collection a Sunny GTI-R. I would give a nut for something like that.

I'm ahead of you guys. I was at hot 4 cold today got myself a 14' 1050cfm fan. 16' isn't going to fit but i think i should have bought two fan's. Guess I will buy the second at a later stage or a cheap midas fan for now.

Those clutch fans pull sh!t load of power of the engine and noisy! U'll gain almost 10-15kw if u take it off, easy!

This makes me so deurmekaar. Explain please. I understand the kw gain because of this. But now we draw on some electric fans, e.g. Dereks(Draco nowadays), up to 16 odd amps. So much so it pulls off the idle rev default and I always say you can weld with 16 Amps - no what I mean. Now that load goes on to the alternator. Question? Arent we going in a circles here? To deliver the amps the CA18 must deliver again. What do I miss here. Kw gain without viscus fan but need power again on alternator side.

i'm not sure that they pull as much as 16 amps. did you measure this chemcool?

i removed mine because i really didnt like my sx sounding like an Isuzu KB diesel turbo from idle!!!

maybe i should just getting a stronger alternator then?

Phinx - "just bought a 14" electric fan" - does this mean that its all good now, and that you are keeping the car???

I don't think the electric fans pose a risk to the alternator... Well so far I havn't heard from anyone getting any problems from it.

Veecee, you bet I did measure it. One fan might be lower though. But i am not worried about the alternator. What I say is the alternator is also a load on the engine. More amps on alternator more engine must produce. Well this is what I need to clear. Listen to me- gain one side loose other side. How accurate is this?
