Hi guys... I'm like emotionally touched by this thread
Thanks for the input, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do, at this stage I don't think the car will sell fast, but I'll stick it out till someone comes along.
I have parked the car off now for two weeks, and an eyesore coming home at night just seeing it there and not been able to do anything.
On the engine side really really not sure what it is, I explained what I get in my Project D thread.
I think I'll safe up some money to take it to someone like Duane (The Calibrator)... they don't work for free and there time is money, and I guess I will need at least 4 to 6 hours worth of there time... that is allot of doe... at this stage, which I don't have, there are other priorities.

Hey Vlade.... I might be wrong, and I know u checked ur compression... but that wierd noise, couldnt it perhaps be a pinging/detonation/knocking happening? I mean, it only happens when u rev hich, when the car is under boost, and then the loss of power could be where the engine retards the timing to compensate. I dunno, worth a shot I guess?

Not sure... Really

It is well known that Thinwall Tubular headers can ring like a bell from the firing impulses. Now what do you think its going to sound like if the exhaust valve is opening whilst the spark plug is firing or for that matter while the cyl pressures are at their peak.

there is no way that i let a guy who has put in so much effort as you have, just drop the whole thing. i've been in the same boat and i got through it. i had to rebuild my engine twice, and replace the cylinder once, leaving me with so many new gasket kit spares!!! thats the birght side!
i'm also in on a "get your passport-drive over the border-stop at vlades place-dismantle his engine-have lunch-have beer-leave him to sort it out" event!!!
just kidding - try to see it from a positive angle if you can... something like " the motor is ringing like a triangle at a school musical, but at least its not pinging..." or something else equally as lame!!!
don't sell - i'm sure we can do something, you're car deserves to be a dorifto, rike on initiardee!!!

i must say...
it's EXTREMELY touching to see such community support for a 10 year+ old car...
Hell, i'll even come help too (even if i'm just in charge of opening beers)
vl@de you bought your sh1t about the same time i did - and my car is not ready yet either (which also makes me thinking of turfing it - but i _need_ to see this thru)
you cannot lose your resolve now, stick it out man. Lets fix this bastage!!!
