yea prejudice is really a nasty thing,
Isn't maus in pretoria Draco?
poizen and his hot SX is down in durbs me thinks. :D

I suppose if you have a unichip already you don't have to spend extra cash on buying something else, use it if it is what you need and if you don't like it remove it and get something else later on when you are able.

Look, im not as technical as all of you okes, but my advise is pretty simple and its been proven before, the system or management is only as good as the tuner!

You can read what the different systems, daughter-boards and chipos can and cannot do, so decide what you want from the product and do proper research on a very good tuner.

Thats why Im using a plain local management like Dicktator, its at a reasonable price and I have a tuner at Dynotec that really is a wizz with these systems!

My useless 2 cents! 8)

IF ur going stand alone, u might consider a Gotech Pro X. R5000 and it has all the functions u'll ever need, including 4 preloaded maps. If u get Gotech to install it for u, even better. Or a dictator system is also said to be very good, never used 1 before, but it gets some good revievs :)

And I'm getting Sick of repeating this to have the best tuners you have to spend the damn money and Im not talking about some guy at dastek but a good tuner that has worked on your engine before and I mean knows it personally.

OR

You cant sit down and be honest with yourself and say I know I'm going to carry on modifying my car like almost every SX member here and taking it to a tuner for him to do the fueling every time I change something is going to cost me plus I will take more time to get my car set-up correctly and get yourself a Wideband a knock-link and a good management system and get clued up on how to tune but this would be a learning experience and everyone here is expert already also all the knowledge of how to tune has left the damn forum because of this childish stuff.

If you guys want to use Uni-chips or boost the stock SX turbo past 1 bar or get the cheapest engine builder to build you motor then complain when it fails then fine do its your money

I mean has the forum guys noticed the knowledgeable people leaving ? You want to know why because they started there own forum for the exchange of knowledge where people that want to learn and accept the fact that they don't know everything.

I mean I learn t that my timing map was set-up incorrectly I accepted the knowledge and grew yet you guys call me childish and immature I really find that pretty fun but I'm sure you guys have pick-up that this issue goes far passed the fact of uni-chips, I also wanted to leave but then I thought screw it I also own an SX

@ poizen. Seeing that you have a unichip, just sell it or swop it and get something else. I can vouch for the perfect power SMT6 & 7 which are also piggybacks, and also have 2 maps that can change on the fly. Else get a full management system rather.

I don't know about the 'new' unichips I hear people talking about, but I've had personal experience with the normal unichips and personally I wouldn't recommend them.

I've had it retuned by many 'expert' unichip tuners and always had the same result. Claimed power increases (with dyno graphs to boot) of around 10%, but in real life the car(s) were always weaker. This was on SR20's.

It's almost as if the unichip looses the tune or incorrectly interprets and modify the signals once the car is off the dyno. Every SR20 owner I know of that had a unichip installed has subsequently removed it and had benefits after taking it out.

sup man well it a toss up between perfect power n nistune and dictator
i like the idea of nistune as it still uses my std ecu
and dicktator looks very promising i downloaded the pc interface for both and the dont seem that overly complicated to use very well set out with easy to read info
