yeah man,

you just go with finer and finer water paper, until you get to the 1600 grit. at that stage it starts looking like a mirror finish.

then all you need is some metal polish, and you can rub it down, or you can get a polishing wheel attachment for your drill, and some of those dry polishing compounds. dont push too hard though, i bent the shaft of my drill by polishing my tappet covers and various other bits!

Great man, sounds like a plan! I'll definately give it a go...

Also got the custom made-up oil lines for the turbo this morning at a very reasonable price, 100 bucks for inlet and return lines with connections!
Will post pics once the turbo is in, probably on saturday should be done :D

Got them at The Hydraulic Center in Boksburg in the same road as Mr. Turbo and Topsport Development... Took about an hour for the guy to sort the connections and lines out and make them...

Fitted the turbo yesterday, looking pretty hawt... lol... And also the sprayed intake plenum which looks even hawterer
I gotta post some new pics to show you guys :D

This is what I've been up to the past few days... Been putting everything back together, replacing nuts and bolts, taking it easy and doing a proper job the first time around...

Put back the intake manifolds and also sanded them on the inside where it counts... Hopefully the flow will be a tiny bit better

Image

Sprayed everything I possibly could with some fresh enamel which will hopefully last...

Image

The fuel rail with the injectors...

Image

Installed the turbo at last with the oil lines and the 3 flanges for spacers...

Put the new spark plugs in... They're NGK BKR6E spark plugs gapped to 0.8 mm...

Gotta redo all the piping for air, blow-by, and mainly the simplification of those darn water pipes which I figured out a lekka way to make MUCH simpler 8) :D

Then gotta attach the gear box to the engine and put it in the bay
I dunno how we're gonna get that right though...
