thats gona be awesome when its finished,my father in law bought a rustler "1600"FWD, with a toy 3jz (yamaha head) motor and once he can get the flat spot sorted out its gona fly better than wot it is now.
this is where the sh*t starts!!

yamaha head would make it the 3sgte, very nice motor

true - 3sgte - good motor!!!

they also used a yahama head on the 1JZ (which is the 2.5litre straight six). they say the head is better than the 2jz head, so guys swap the heads out on their 2jz's, and they called it a 1.5JZ or something.

apparently makes huge power?

yep, but based on the fact that its in a fwd rustler, i'm going to have to go with the 3stge :lol:

Sorry to say no much done, gearbox bolts are hard to find

Looks like this is gona take 3 months to complete

Gearbox bolts? How hard can it be to find? Is it a special size? Maybe someone can help.
Would like to see your car go, if it wasnt for wanting to keep the body and engine the same make, I would also have gone for the 2JZ, can aperantly make close to 500kw on std internals. Getting all that power to the ground might be a problem.
