Paint is freaking hard, its like sanding 1mm of metal down, we even got 40grid pads, took very very long...veecee wrote:lol - i thought you sanded by hand cos you said it took 8 hours.

one word:
face-off pad!
they're harder than paint, but softer than steel. you get some for a angle grinder. probably would've taken about half an hour. but thats only if you want to go straight down to bare metal.

Finished! Yeah... Well nearly 99% Done, just need to polish 1 or two bits were we skipped out, and touch up here and there...
Love the fact that the car looks like new, one can really see it...

Will arrange to take some decent photo's in the coming weeks, or provide the Autotrader shots...
