hmm.. let me add another two cents..

the mec005 does have the speed limit set at 226.. see pic , also timing :)

however , the mec007,mec008 and japanese ecu's do not..

bear in mind that these bin's are out of my own collection, collected all over, and might have been modded already..

i suspect that some of the early south african 200sx's might have been more jap spec than european spec? because i have sure as shoot taken mine over 226.. :D

I thought the Jap spec was limited to 180Km/h??

On my pinout diagram there is a speed sensor but it says not used, it is from Wolf so it could be wrong.

Pink the ignition timing on that software is obviously absolute timing and not a reference to static. Now where the motor SHOULD be idling the timing is around 39degrees, how does this relate to the 15 degrees we get??

Also I see the stock ECU runs the car rich even at low loads, always around the 14.7 mark, I run mine at 15.5-16AFR so there is a much better fuel ecconomy to be had.

Hmmmm, Bunnies, what will happen with your new ecu if you set the limit to 60km/h? Care to give it a try?

come to think about it, you're right.. that bins prolly been modded already

if set to 60km/h it WILL cut at 60.. i have played around with this.
i once set it to 120km/h thinking to avoid speeding fines, but it makes overtaking a biatch..

Mine is a everyday car.

Why is there a AFR map anyway, the stock sx didnt have a lambda sensor so could run closed loop. Down low (very low) it says 15.55 but on cruise it is low - mid 14s, this is where I am at 15.5 or so. AFR at full boost high RPM would cause the car to smoke, low 10s is too rich.

Still unsure about the timing map though.

This Speedlimiter thing is becoming annoying...
nah, dont sweat it bru, just knocking about..
anyway,
did you notic somthing about the Feul map and knock fuel map along with the timing maps on the Mec-d005 Ecu's
no? have to admit i havent really played around with this ecu, seeing as i dont have anything running one?

The hot climate wouldnt effect it because the car uses a MAF so air temp is measured.

The stock car doesnt blow black smoke at high rpm that is why I asked about the AFR. At 9AFR I am sure it would be blowing smoke.
