actually i would...Gary57 wrote:VC would you believe me if I told you I can run a 13.3 1/4mile?? NO... numbers are only good for yourself, no one believes them.
but then again i'm not a complete tjop!
the best part of the racing, is being behind the wheel - not all that other crap that happens afterwards...
and i know you take care of your car so a couple of hours on a track wouldn't hurt that much!

Ok guys what the plan for going to the Speed Festival? You guys still keen?
Rat you are already in margate so I guess we will meet u there? i think Saturday would be the best day to go.
Gary and who ever else wants to come along from Durban (RBSX?) should we meet at the pav and make a run to margate? I know the bunker racing guys are having a breakfast run to margate on Saturday morning. They meeting up at 8am at the pav and they leave for margate at 8:30. Are you keen to join them for the run.
Me and a mate or 2 are going 2 be traveling there in my sx.
EDIT: We must't forget camping chairs and stuff, there may not be set out places to sit

I might be going down to margate on saturday as well to watch. I missed out on entering though, left it too late.
Gary, you should give an autocross a try sometime, its great fun. And trust me when you're behind the wheel waiting your turn you don't even realise the spectators are there.
The satisfaction of beating more powerful cars is incredible 'cause with an autocross its down to the cars handling and your driving.
(My combined times this last weekend at suncoast was 171 seconds, the fastest BMW was 177 seconds. Drifting around corners looks exciting but is slow.)
Trackdays are even better though, and thats the reason I'm looking at getting a 200sx, to use for autocross', trackdays, to tinker with, etc.
I did 5 trackdays and a couple of autocross' last year, including the A1 supercar parade, and my car (Ford Focus ST170) is none the worse for it after all that.
I was also a bit hesitant at first and worried about damaging my car, but a guy thats been doing club racing for over 10 years told me that you'll always reach your internal limit before you reach the car's limit, and so far he's been right.
