You guys have tracks open all year long with events, we only get a track in DBN for a weekend a year... :roll:

I would love it if the NDS could one day be held here. The problem is the lack of a track.

GYMKHANA, DRIFTING, 8 LAP CHASE & BURNOUTS 9am till 9pm – Paul @ Killarney

Meet Matthew before the Saturday and Pay R40 to enter the gate and receive a free SPL run...

Be sure not to miss
this action packed day for the whole family at Killarney race track.
Killarney’s NEW PIT facility will host the first streetracing show of its kind
including a PARKOFF & SOUNDOFF.

The racing side of the
event will start with drags practice from 9am followed by ELIMINATION DRAGS to
determine who is Cape Town best streetdrager in
each Capacity class while the sun sets on Cape Town. Then over at the oval side of the
circuit there will be a gymkhana running from 9am till 3pm, after that the
DRIFTING practice and competition will take place. This will however be
interrupted with some Regional Main Circuit racers doing a demo (known as the 8
Lap Chase Event ) on the Half Main in their highly modified machines. The
evening will end off with the final drifting competition promising to bring out
the top drifters including an Imported Japanese Judge

Hey guys Yeah I too thout why they calling it NDS butyou have to start somewere so Cpt is sarting off followed by ( hopefully ) many other city events making it a genuine( however You spell that) National Drift event.I have been to a coupla of meetings,spoken to alot of the guys and everyone seem to be keen on the idea,and the IDea is now bekoming a reality .I keep trak of the JHB drifters too and they got skills but a spanner was thown in the works when there track got sold. but a new one is there in the Rock ,and hopefully we will get one soon here in CPT. Durban I hear you guys are gettin a new airport, how about making your old airport a race track. for high speed drifts heheheheh

Hehe :D, that would be awesome! ... but unfortunately that land is being sold off to industries.

I don't understand our provincial government, they run all these anti-speeding campaigns and are actively fighting against street racing yet they don't even seem to think of building us a track... Maybe its there is just too much effort involved...

Kinda like the greedy developers that are busy converting Wesbank Raceway into another Office Park... As if we dont have enough of these "Theme Parks" up here... Fuck, I hate Developers!!!... But then again it's just my Architectural background speaking here!!!!

its a video made the day of the Practice 17 feb08. yull see PG in his monster balck twin turbo Supra.FSR int the gold SX,and the Barnetts 325i dolfin BMW inthe vid. verry profesionally made.
looking forward to it. apparently some big name racing drivers are coming to the event aswell. so it should be a hell of a thing to see.
who of you guys are coming ,would like to hook up and meet all you fanaticsheheheheh look out for the scaly coulerd with a video camera heheheheheh
