i suppose you think an SX is not a silvia then???
Well not to burst your bubble.... But technically the SX isn't a silvia.

The SX only started with the S13. and ended with the S14 or S15 cant remember.

The S12 and older are all silvias, no mention of an SX.

HOWZIT GUYS,

LONG TIME NO SEE. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL & HOPE EVERYONE WAS SAFE!
I HAD A BUSY HOLIDAY, GOT ALOT DONE ON THE CAR.
WELL FROM LAST TIME I POSTED THE FIRST THING I DID WAS TO START STRIPPING THE PAINT FROM THE ENGINE BAY. I ALSO INSTALLED THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY.

AFTER TRYING FOR THE 10TH TIME TO GET THE WINDSCREEN PEOPLE
TO COME TAKE THE WINDOWS OUT SO THAT I CAN REMOVE THE MINOR RUST, I DECIDED TO DO IT MYSELF.
THE ONLY WINDOW I HAD TO PRESERV WAS THE REAR WINDOW AS THERE AINT ANY IN SA.
I MANAGED TO SAVE THE IMPORTANT WINDOWS.
I SANDED A WEEK TRYING TO REMOVE MOST PAINT IN THE TIGHT SPACES & SO THE PRIMER CAN STICK TO IT.

YESTERDAY I WAS FINALLY READY FOR THE PRIMER;
I WAS LEFT WITH BARE METAL IN 50% OF THE ENGINE BAY SO I HAD TO SPRAY PRIMER BEFORE RUST BECAME AN ISSUE.
IM JUST WAITING FOR A CO2 WELDER THEN ILL COVER UP SOME HOLES & MAKE EVERYTHING LOOK SMOOTH & PRETTY. THEN JUST TOUCH UP THE PRIMER, SAND SMOOTH & BACE COAT!
FOR YOUR INFO, THE COLOUR IM GOING WITH IS A PEARL DIAMOND BLACK.WILL LOOK GOOD!

thats they way to do it.!. F yeah!

love the work, good stuff keep it up!

One thing though, I halted my buddy's Quadro Golf GT project because of this as well, not sure what the purpose of the car is, but its always a good idea that if you are at the stage where you're at to seem weld it, for that extra stiffness

just remember to leave even gaps along the seems.

also - you should've just had the thing clearcoated. it would've looke wikked cool like that. no-one could've said that they have similar paint!!!

also remember while you have everything out, that to replace the rubber steering bush with an aluminium one is a "high return on investment" mod. really makes it a driver's car!
