Ya, I exaggerate anyway 'cos the ECU will run in safe mode to prevent detonation. :D

Guys Can you use a 300zx or 350z air flow meter on a 200sx S13?

Will there be any performance?

Anything negative any thing positive? :?:

IIRC you can, but you need to recalibrate the whole thing

You can't just swop out the AFM! You must remap the ECU with the characteristics of your new AFM (much like you need to remap for different injectors) otherwise the fuelling will be all wrong and can lead to massive detonation.

I realize this thread is relatively old, but has the problem been fixed?

What problem are u referring to exactly?

The fact that I couldn't read my fault codes coz I was being an idiot?

If ur referring to the det sensor, I'm getting a brand new one from Nissan...

I was referring to the fact that you could not read the fault code. I could not figure out which code it was either...going off of the diagram you put together.

Oh ok, well it turned out the problem was with the user :)

When u first turn the screw on the ECU fully clockwise it starts flashing codes for the different modes u can choose. ie 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 denoted by that number of flashes.

For self diagnostics you need to choose mode 3. So, after it has flashed 3 times turn the screw fully anti-clockwise.

Now, it will flash the fault codes. The number of red flashes make up the first digit of the code and the number of green flashes make up the second digit of the code.

When I first looked at mine I couldn't see the green light as it was mostly covered by the edge of the window...

Here is a good thread about it from another forum.

i'm quite sure someone said "RTFM".

had you have read it, then you would've come right first time

you turn it all the way right till it starts flashing and you turn it back when the right mode is selected.

I had read the manual... still managed to get it wrong tho

The main problem was my hidden green light...
