and i got some new mags, 17's.. the idea is that they should be easier to drift on... well i know that they're alot easier to spin already :) and my 0-140kmh acceleration is up aswell.

The wheels are splits, well not really - sold by false advertising :( they are all the same widths but the rears look deeper .. even though they are also only 7' wide.. but i need width.. so I sent them into Wheelcrafters to have widened to 9.5 at the rear and 8' at the front.. but when the guy told me R1500 per wheel i pulled out :( Looks like im gonna end up sending them to JHB - "hi-Tech" mag repairs @ R1000 a wheel... still harsh though.

I love the style of the mag, but im not convinced on the red stripe, probably end up making the wheels completely black or white..

keep it white brendan, theres alot of white cars around running black rims, it looks more jap having white on white. It'll look even better with a body kit.

looks cool, but making the lips black makes the rims look even smaller.. id prefer to go black in the center and lumo orange lip. ...mmmm Lumo orange and Matt black.. yum

Took the tappet cover off the other day just to inspect my breather system as it seems im getting sump compression .. or something. well i didnt find any problem as such, just gave it a paka clean and spray job. Really makes the engine bay look more complete .. well i think.. Also picked up a cusco strut bar from Reece... black, polish and blue are the colours i'll be going with it seems :)

Took the car for a spin to test the addition.. doesnt make a huge difference, the front suspension does feels a ball hair smoother and controllable. i still say the side fender braces Mical made me made the biggest impact on rigidity and feel.

Power wise we're gonna be upgrading the valve train soonish as we're running out of useable rev range.. but im really starting to love this toy !

white rims

Post by godzilla »

the redline has to go makes the rim look smaller. complete white looks way better. I have the same problem but in matt black with a redline on a set of Racing hearts(8 spokes) i want my rims white but just for the time being i used 6mill(could not get 8 or 2 mill) pin striping and ran them over the red stripe to hide them as they are sprayed in. so now i have a campletly black rim that looks bigger now that there's no redline. I am still unsure about the white so maybe ill get the driverside painted white and clear gloss the pasengers to get them shining i am getting bored with the matt black plus darkwheels on a dark car doesent look so lekker.... what do you think?
sideways forever....
