luckily the exhaust is on opposite sides to the fuel filler. the rx7 has it on the same side, and i watched a buddies rx nearly burn down when the exhaust flames caught some spilled fuel from the fuel filler.

received my new catch tanks this week and got around to installing them today
water tank:
oil:
and oil return tee into turbo oil return (used bottom sight glass hole for return fitting and top one for breather filter)
