So....she did not make it to japfest..Friday night fine, saturday morning...huge manifold leak, at first it sounded like it was between mani and head and between turbo and mani, I found today that the whole wastegate port is loose...it broke somehow....so everything has to come off to weld it properly....just fabulous!!!

Common issue, the wastegate should have been supported. Were you running a screamer pipe?? If yes was the screamer pipe supported off the exhaust, if not you had the weight of the wastegate and pipe hanging of a stainless tube that was near melting point, never a good idea...

Thats gonna be a kak one to weld. Think its a good time to add allot of braces to the rest of the mani as well.

Wastegate was put on straight on mani, no screamer, wasted air straight out of wastagate...no pipes connected to the wastegate, the wastegate weighs ...maybe 300 grams...the exell wastegates are very light.
Remember, on friday night there was no leak, saturday morning I heard it on start up....still, I believe if there was a screamer pipe and it was supported, the same would happen...
All welded up, I have let them weld the wastegate port flange to the corner of the turbo flange, that plus the welding should hold it....hopefully...
@ Charl, the mani is supported by a bracket connected to bel housing and downpipe, I was advised not to ad brackets between bends because it would crack because of heat movement

She is dead, murphy is having a field day with me, after the nismo event she has no compression on number 3 cylinder, hopefully it is just valves....yes...I said hopefully....she will stand untill I have money to fix what ever is wrong, that might take some time.
At least I saw now that she is fast enough for 13's on the 1/4 mile and very deacent 1km's, so one day when she works again, I can hopefully stop drawing conclusions and have something on paper.
Even though I broke, I learnt that that little CA is capable of 13's on the 1/4 mile and around a 23 sec on the 1km with a speed of over 220 km/h.
I can not confirm this as they did not take the official time and speed of the 1/4 mile on the 1km run, but I broke just as I shifted to 5th gear and was around 200m to go when I started braking, now I show around 220 km/h in 4th at around 7500 rpm, I ended up going over the 1km line in 25. something seconds at a speed of 165 km/h I think, which means taking an average loss of 1 sec per 100m I could have done it in 23 seconds and over 220km'h on the km...wich is fast.
One day when I get her fixed, I can't wait to see what she does if she does not break.
Seams number 3 injector blocked, causing detonation and damaged either the piston, valves or rings....but there is no compression so it has to be valves or piston.

Seems the number 3 injector blocked or something and the rest is history as they say, I am hoping it's mostly head related but we will see...

I tested it afterwords and it seems to be working, but if it did not I would have been lean on all cylinders, 1,2 and 4 is fine, plugs shows fueling is ok.
