those gauges that come with teh new motors are the way to do it!
the paper templates that you stick over the stock dials are just a screw up. nearly caused a huge fight between me and n1smo, cos its really difficult to get the needles off without breaking anything... plus then its more difficult to get them back on in the original places.
so when you finished - your temp might read at half-way when its cold, you may be doing 20km/h while stationary, you may be revving at 2000rpm when stationary, and your fuel tank may be empty when its half-full!

no - he asked me to install them for him...
he had to go have the gauges recalibrated afterwards, plus he had to replace the stepper motor for the rev counter.
i will never ever do that job again.

n1smo is a member on the forum. someone sold the covers here once. they were printed from a template onto a piece of white card, and then laminated.
after it was all done they looked good, but its a horrible way to do it!
