well me and brendan sat in the hot rain and fiddled with my suspension we found that the softer we set the damping from 0 in the middle so got 15clicks either way s o we had it to start with 5clicks to the soft and the ride had understeer and delayed response and was really bouncy so we ajusted it to 3clicks towards hard and 90% of the undeersteer gone the response is chrisp and the ride feels so smooth was looking for bumps on the way home but they hardly had any affect on my i think 8-6kg springs are perfect and well suited for this set up brendan even took my sx sideways a few times around gateway
waiting his report to follow

Yhe Mical came round and i had a look at his Coilover setup.. we immediatly found a front camber inbalance and sorted it out to the nearest 'Drift thumb" rule measurement
I couldnt see the BC's to give feedback on build quality but the damper nobs are very nice quality.
My coilover 2c... the thing guys are getting confused about is the dampning on these fancy coilovers. I might be wrong ( happens more than id like to mention ) but, the way i see it is like this...
Guys think becuse they have 30 way adjustable damping they can just go to town and run super soft damping to cure the hard ride.. no.. all this does is weaken the damper to the point where its no longer giving you the correct most linear transition from shock absorbtion too spring load. so you end up having really nice soft suspension until you hit a bump and then you feel just how strong your springs are all at once.. can end up ugly... aaand 'apparently' if you run you dampners too soft you run the chance of blowing them. So my point is you have to try to match the dampning to the springs you're using. I wasnt able to completely setup Micals dampning as it was raining and i didnt want to push it in the wet, but i will say i think its feeling alot better, and he can now make small adjustments when its dry...
wait untill you start fiddling with you camber and get it to the sweet spot for your tyres .. car will corner like a go-kart.
From the short ride i had in Micals car i gotta say it feels really nice, if he had Urethane bushes it would be a near perfect street setup and it can slide.. yes it can .. very smooth and informative so easy to keep the slide going. my only problem with it was the fact that the response was a fraction slow (urethane!) and i think his wheel alignment is slightly out aswell.. causing some understeer issues, but nothing major. Really enjoyed the ride, comfortable and smooth. He could use a weaker spring setup and get it to ride even softer... but i personally wouldnt go any softer.
if someone had to ask me which is better.. D2 or BC
D2's are prettier (IMO)
BC are a fraction easy to play with ( damper nob is spring loaded
)
D2's are lighter
BC have slightly better dampning and i reckon are slightly smoother
i could go on... But honestly both are excellent High quality products and their pros VS cons balance each others out,..
i just love coilovers.. da end

wow you sounding like a pro reporter ahhahaha
was fun in the rain around all the circles ''DRIFTZ ,DRIFTING WITH THE AIRCON ON''
well like brendan said the camber was way out i didnt set to full camber on the bottom of the shock so passenger side was runnning 1thumb at the bottom and 1,5 thumbs at the top -right side was set to 1 thumb botttom and 2,5thumbs top
well we got it near enough ill go do alingment i just find a sweet camber setting first mayb 0degree or 1degree inwards
either way like brendan said i do need poly bushes but will come later
im not going to go softer rate i love the feel
@driftz on the way home i sound so many dips in the road front handled really well still smaall bounce in the rear so ill just adjust the rear lil harder now but still softer then the front

What you must remember with all these single adjustment coil-overs is that you're only adjusting the rebound damping.
And yeah if it is underdamped it will feel very hard and bouncy as the dampers are not controlling the rebound effect of the spring and suspension.
So you're probably right Brendan that if you wanted to run softer damper settings you would have to switch to a lighter spring as well.
For interest are you running any pre-load on the springs at all? Or just basically holding them in place?

i will be adjusting my preload to zero for drift.. currently mine and Micals are on factory settingsGuy wrote:What you must remember with all these single adjustment coil-overs is that you're only adjusting the rebound damping.

@reecez im going to fit next week waiting for a manifold and power once the gotech in installed with 550cc injectors hoping for 180-200kw on the wheels
here more pics of the turbo
