We did it here at our workshop, we can do any welding needed.
This is also to be used as an example of the kind of custom setups we can do based on requirements (my requirement was to increase the intercooler capacity without affecting airflow to the radiator as the car runs a good temprature ALL the time, no matter how hard I drive it)

We might need to talk when we start doing the boost pipes on our race car. Looks very well built!

So, after a LOOOONG week of working till early hours of the morning, we rolled the car out of the paint booth Friday morning, re-assembled it at made it to Mardi Gra in time for some drifting :D

But later that night the clutch started burning which put us out of action for Saturday. The car is currently in the air and the clutch in some good hands getting refurbed. It should hopefully go back in first thing tomorrow to give me enough time to bed it in before drifting on Friday and Saturday again at Mardi Gra.

Here are the progress pics:
Bumper modification for more airflow to the side mount intercoolers whilst going sideways

Sound deadening removal (NEVER AGAIN!!!)

And fully assembled again

So proud because we put so much into it and it came out even better than we imagined. Still need to do the bodykit and then it goes to ACOM for its livery......the first version of it is done in Photoshop and it's looking mental!!!

Thanks goes out AGAIN to Calvin at Dragon Customs for the stupid amount of hours he put in to get my car ready last minute for drifting. I wouldn't be where I am without people and companies like Calvin at Dragon Customs. I can't thank you enough!

Thanks man.

Yes I am, its getting fixed (again) and sprayed to match the car. Then I'm going to put an undertray that doubles up as a front lip on the front bumper.

Thanks goes out to the guys at Tramway Clutch and Brake! They got my clutch done on Wednesday in time for me to install it on Thursday, bed it in and drift from Friday night again.

Yet again we had a mental 2 nights of drifting! Giving many passenger rides and entertaining the crowd. To anyone who hasn't been to a D1S event, do yourself a favour and come...it's all about having fun! Non stop laughs!

Here are some pics:

And two vids:

Unfortunately though on the way home the car's headgasket gave up. On further inspection, cylinder 3 was full of water. We will find out soon the extent of the damage. We are crossing fingers for just a head skim and head gasket so we don't have to take too much time off drifting as funds are EXTREMELY limited...and we NEED to get to Supa Drift!

2 questions, whoes FD is that in the second vid and is it from cape town? and are the D1S events usually in the wet?

im going to be getting another car in the next month or so, as soon as possible really, and joining you guys to learn how to drift :domo:

[smilie=200sx_200sx.gif]

Hey man,

The FD belongs to Noer, the CEO of D1s, he has 2 and yes they are both in Cape Town.
No our events are usually in the dry, it was the location that required the tarmac to be wet as it was right by houses and they also didnt want the tarmac to get damaged. The events also ran untill 11PM every night so we had to keep the neighbours semi happy.

When you are ready just give us a shout. In the mean time come around to our events, introduce yourself and get to know all the guys.

Keep an eye on the D1S facebook page for info on our upcoming events.

It's pretty straight forward, two wing mount intercoolers. 63mm pipe off the turbo, then splits into two 50mm pipes to each cooler, one pipe going under the viscous fan cowling. Then out of the two intercoolers in two 50mm pipes, one going accross the top of the fan cowling and both go into a 63mm pipe then to the trottle.
