SHE'S ALIVE !!!! AGAIN!!!!! Thanks to Hotstuff for putting in a bit of wrench time and for letting me de-virginise his new timing light on my SX.....

As it stands, I rebuilt the coil harness again, this time making sure I have DECENT signal wiring in place, and instead of running the + for the coils off the ignition wire, I installed a relay with some nice thick wiring to ensure ample power supply keeping the 8ga earth in takt as is.... Tested all 4 signal wires with timing light and yup all working just fine :D

The car still wouldn't start though, luckily I have that wonderful voltage gauge in that made me thing of swopping batteries, lo and behold "BANG" she back fires like a gun shot burning up all the unspent fuel.... Thanks again for the battery loaner Nate.....

Then like Magic, my SXy car started, true she only idled for like a max of 5 seconds tonight thought the 2 hours of re trying and re trying... But this now atleast tells me it's fueling to look at from there, seemingly drowning / flooding / over fueling or what ever you want to call it....

( P.S. Can anyone tell me what the standard charge time is for std SR20DET coil packs on dicktator ? I currently have it set to 1.75ms.....

Anyway, a bottle of bubbly was cracked and mostly wasted down my throat... As we had to celebrate....

So things as they stand now is,

1. All signals firing
2. All injectors squirting
3. Timing is at 15 deg BTDC as recommended
4. Starts and floods and dies.... ( A good sign to me at this stage )

Thanks again Nate for pullin in n helping out....

UPDATE:

Progress on my baby is happening....

My boet, nephews and friend pitched at my place yesterday and of course first place we went was to the garage....

After trying to start my car a few times, we decided to check the spark plugs, which were slightly wet but not enough to say it was flooding, this lead us to check spark again, which was ample.....

Then we figured to put some petrol straight into the intake, and poof, No. 1 fires. This now leads us to believe that somhow gas aint getting through, but seing as there is fuel in the cylinders, I am thinking the dicktator is a problem child..... Well, only way to know is to plug another in and see if she starts..... Atleast that would tell us is that is the problem....

Hold thumbs....

O and P.S. I wouldn't feel right if I didn't give respect where it is due.....

I need to say big thanks to my mechanics who have helped a friggin great deal with my car over the last 2 years, they done the awsome SR20DET conversion and given me more support than I could ever have wished for. Thanks Kirk, Kel + Dill. Also thanks to Ian for always being willing to chop in and assist where u can bud, just shout if u ever need anything.

OK, So some good news.....

She started and reved like a dream today.... Only thing is, she only did with 3ms coil charge time and 60timing..... So measuring the coils she is at 1.6ohm, indicating to high resistance which pushes up the required charge time.... So to fix this... A low impedence 0.8 or 1.2 ohm max coil pack will be the flavor of the day to bring her down to 2ms or there about, and along with it cutting down on the dwell time meaning the timing should be more in line too.....

Dang, somtimes I don't even understand the crap I speak, ha ha ha...

Anyway, very close to running perfect, Just hope the pickup angle is not causing the timing issue.... I hate having to remake those blooming pickup brackets..... Good thing I'm paying somone else to do it for me this round, lol
