The head gasket will not be a problem Donny, the standard Toyota ones are manufactured of multilayer steel, wouldn't worry about it.
If you have to open up the engine one day, just get yourself some ARP head studs, mains and big ends.

WOW that's some serious power. From what I understand the 1jz and 2jz motors have stronger bottom ends and can actually make more power than RB motors. Especially on stock internals. Kinda sad to know cause I'm an all out nissan addict.
But what I'd like to know is how heavy this 2jz motor is seeing that it's cast iron?
What did this conversion cost so far?
What the major challenges were to fit it to the s13...
What are your plans for the car RBSX? Just a fun car or is it aimed at drag, drift, hill climb or something?

Definitely drag

Hi guys it been a while...
This project was a nightmare for me, Andre was going through a ruff
patch , but we eventually sorted things out, As much i would like to complain about his service, I have to say that he did make up for it eventually, he did sum stupid and horrible things to me , but
Im going to use him again, becoz i think we have an understanding now, and i know how to see this through...Anyway after seeing the complaints other guys have .....i not sure who you can trust
It was also alearning kerb for me , as i now know that regardless
of what tuner you use, you have to be on top of your game with knowledge and checking in on your project.....
So anyway, My car was delivered a month ago, i got one drive in it and the front main seal popped, spilling oil evey where
Again I do feel that Andre should have done the pump conversion before he delivered up, but.....we have passed that stage.....He has agreed to come down next week and sort it out for me.... the car being in storage has now developed a miss ,,,, so might need new plugs...
So As you know , i bought riaans incomplete project and ive sold this project to a friend in durbs
so im ending this topic with a few pics and clips of how this car turned out and starting a new topic: 2JZ SX the second coming
So here the end of this project
the supra box is shorter, but with a modified lever it works well

oil cooler and intercooler
on the next project i will install the cooler on the right corner, for better airflow
Tried to powder coat the tappit cover but it warped ro andre just fitted another set.....dissapointing ,..but still look good
The engine was never opened only Greddy Cam belt , stock injectors, fuel pressure regulator set at 3 bar
T72 turbo from Mr Turbo...76mm xzorst, Stainless steel manifold from turbo toys and 60mm wastegate...screamer pipe...sounds awsome
HKS copy dump valve.....next project has the real HKS dv
has a miss and still leaking some oil,,, but sounds flippen nice
the engine is very refined and smooth,,sounds clean when it was running properly
Oh the rev counter still set to 4 cyclinder,,, will try to sort that out
First time i drove it, i pulled to 7000rpm and the turbo and i thought i was in boost ,,,, but i wasnt so impressed, i then decided to pull it to the limit
and suddenly i was left with a warm feeling in my pants,,,,
then i got the oil smell and parked it off...
