Got a spare set of cams thanks. Will try advancing a tooth tonight and see if it makes a difference.

Have u figured whats causing the engine to stall? Wat symtoms are there when the AAC valve is faulty? When plugged in with the idle screw turned fully in it idles at 1500rpm. Cant get it to go lower. Checked the accellerator cable an its fine as well as the adjust screw on the throttle body. The valve is functional coz when I unplug it the rev drops. I tried leaving it off and setting the rev correctly but engine stalls when applying brakes

Still idling like crap. 500rpm or it dies. No power when driving so tells me it is timing.

Advanced the intake cam 1 tooth and made it slightly worse then redid the belt. Crank pully on TDC, checked it with a socket ext on cyl 1. exhaust cam on its mark. 39 gear teeth inc the ones with the marks to intake cam as per FSM and its even worse. Getting really pissed off now.

Is there a trick to doing CA timing? Having a 8port head shouldn't make any difference.

After advancin intake cam an then adjustin tensioner did the marks line up?

Is the guide for the cas on exhaust cam still there?

8 and 4 timing exactly the same. Got 8 port on sentra coupe and 4 port on sx. Have dne timing belts on both of them in the past.

No more codes?
Have you done compression test?
New plugs?
Have you checked spark?
Have you double checked injector wiring and fpr connections?

Bro,that is one head scratcher! Just for interest sake, has the head been skeemed. If its skeemed to much it can also mess up getting the timing correct

Got the same issue! I've just mounted h-dev stage 3 chip with whole setup. Has some problems with air leaks, needed new ECU etc and now Im in quite the same place.

When engine is warmed up Idle RPMs jumps betw 500-1200

Got problems with timing - once I've set it to 15deg and started the engine after some time all the marks were way off to the right - it look like I even cant get close to the first one from left.

I got inlet cam one tooth advanced - but guess this shouldnt couse the problems - afterall it isnt cam where CAS is.

Got the same error #34 (knock sensor - maybe I've damaged it when I was putting on intake manifold). Found some info that this can cause problems with timing.

cheers!
