WOW I thought it was at the flywheel

197kw at the wheels, wow thats big power man. :D Do you have a quarter mile or 0-100km/h time, would love to know :)

If I'm not mistaken, from previous posts he said he corrects it to the flywheel.
Not on turbo cars I dont.
Warren look at ALL the figures again I think you will see that 197kw is the lowest figure.

On 0.8bar boost and 180kw the car ran a 13.82s@167km/h

Oh ok I've opened both eyes now :) Geez, thats big power hey, very impressive.

Sorry I don't know anything about his car, so is it the SR20DET or an RB?

Surely u can't get that power out of a SR?

Its a S14 SR20DET with VVT. Motor has been built with quality components but is stock compression stock head cams small turbo etc.

Other cars may make more power but not many make power like that and have boost starting at 1500rpm.

It can be seen in detail on my website under previous projects. (its the red one)

Sjoe, just had a look at your site now, wow looks so good hey! Good quality parts to damn! Excuse my ignorance (AGAIN! ) but you say it has VVT, does that mean its an import motor? Did the S.A. cars have VVT?

Thanks 8)

Good power you making-and very usable rev range also.
What clutch do you got?Mine is brand new but it's slipping at 1bar.

Thats the common denominator in all the cars I do.
The clutch is a ACT 6 puck racing clutch. Rated for 600hp
It will chirp the tyres into 3rd with a flatshift

Can i ask why?

I always thought it was 4th, something to do with being closest to a 1:1 ratio with the diff

4th is normally 1:1 ratio in the gearbox.

in most cars 4th is allready an overdrive ratio. its been a long time since all cars had a 1:1 4th.

I use 3rd for reasons of wheel speed most powerfull cars will do around 200km/h or more in 4th.
Have you ever had a tyre seperate at 210km/h on the dyno?
Well I have and its not a fun experience so I try and keep the speeds sane.
