You obviously do not expect the seller to bring the car in to south africa and take your word for it that you will pay him when the car is here?

By means of paying into a trust binded by a contract seems to be the safest bet for both parties. WIN WIN situation.....

the money will only paid out to me when the car is here. The import permit and the letter of authority will be on your name even before the car arrives in SA. If i bring a car in on my name im not allowed to sell it to you for 2 years.
I hope you have a better understanding of the procedure now.

Just one little problem.... u need to have the ITAC permit on the buyer's name when the car arrives here. What if the buyer does not like the car, or backs out if its not in the described condition ?
Once the permit is issued on a person's name with all the detail of the vehicle , u will not be able to sell the car to someone else.
Once u get the permit, u commit to buy.

The engine pops in 3 days ? What then he ?
The Paint isnt what i wanted ? What then he ?
The interior isnt in good nick ? What then he ?
Diff ? Gbox ? kaks ?

I suppose all my problem as i bought it in and have too keep it for 2 years ,

It is best then for you to buy one from some one who have it for two years already.
But so far all my clients were happy.

My agent in Japan provide me with a full inspection report. It shows each and every scratch or dent. and a full report on the mechanics. And full detail photos aswell. The detail pics. will show you engine and interior .

160 for a car that you haven't seen or test drove ........ ek weetie he
