The previous owner f***** the current one up, it lost oil one time I drove it to JHB and back to PTA. According to the mechanic someone tried using the incorrect block with the head or something to that affect

The FWD can be put in the s-body, they even sell the kit in the USA for it. The vvl head is a much more reliable one (less moving parts) but the costs involved in the swap far outweighs the rewards. The major obstical is the dizzy position.
If you need to talk to someone, speak to someone who specialises in these cars.
PS. waste of time putting a SR20DE in there, just find a notch top RWD SR and stop messing about with different versions unless you have a very good reason for going for a different version.

rebuild your engine could be another good option if you know someone good that get the job done right^^

Another thing I forgot to mention, the engine number is filed off, I dont know how the previous guy got it through roadworthy.
So I rather put another engine in

yeah. take the plunge and get the notchtop. pull your motor and swap it. straight forward.

I second the rebuild because then you know you are getting a fresh good engine. The hardest part is finding a reputable engine builder.
Pity you are in pretoria as I know of a very good engine builder here in cpt.

Rebuild only if the block are in good shape... my bore was measure stock after 240k on it... so i did't bore and put bigger piston's

I might have done a rebuild if the engine number was not filed off.
