I did not purchase a garrett as they are pricey, I puchased the turbo from mr.turbo in Jetpark, here is the invoice description: GT28/T4 CW.54.2MM

The compresion wheel is 54MM and the standard one use to be 48MM if I am correct.

try and check link from facebook.

I hope this helps.
Thank you!

Hi Guys, Has antyone managed to check the pic on facebook of the new vs old turbo ? I have fitted the turbo - I have lag and it only boosts 0.5 at peak revs ????
I will let it cool down and adjust the actuator and see what happens.

thanx!

Hi Dj

please see the link below for the turbo I purchased...
It does not boost more than 0.5 at peak revs and there no boost at the bottom? is this turbo too large or have I done something wrong - everyone told me the turbo should work fine.....

It looks as though it will work fine. Shouldn't have much more lag than standard. at what rpm do you reach full boost?

I suspect it has a .5 bar actuator. You should look at getting a boost controller, a manual bleed valve should work fine.

It kicks in very very late, at about 5000rpm it starts to gain boost - the actuator is adjustable. I have no idea why the turbo is'nt boosting sooner - everyone told me it would work fine. I'm clueless. this was the only turbo that mr. turbo stock that would fit my standard exhaust outlet.

Wastegate is properly closed with some tension on the actuator keeping it shut. it came to me as a shock when I drove it today and there was no power. verry dissapointed after all the labour....
