SR20 is what most of us Nissan Enthusiast strive for. If you have the finance then why not.
CA 18DET engine part is available if you know the right people. You can even buy a complete engine for R4500 as apposed to R13k for SR20. Personally with that amount for dough I'd buy CA 18 and spend the rest on modification to the engine internals to make it stronger. I've seen standard CA 18 with T3/T4 turbo + Management system + some porting work on the head push out 195kw/330Nm on 0.5bar boost. You building a project car here so realiable is what most project cars lack because guy tend to use standard engines and expect miracles.

Black tops eng and gearbox last week were R16000 at JAPAN AUTO TRADING
R13550 eng and R3500 Gbox at BOSTON both places with no gaurentee and inspection only on their premises.

See if you read the whole sentence you can find even more information than you thought possible :)
