It's deffinately not the lifters with your symptoms

You can unplug the VVT solanoid to check, if the noise is gone when unplugged you know it's the VVT sprocket.

Just confirm quickly, when you put it into 1st gear and rev to an over 1500rpm, does the noise dissapear? If so then it deffinately is the VVT as that is the point when the oil pressure increases in the front of the sprocket and engages VVT.

EDIT: Just read on of your previous posts and the above does happen so it is your VVT. If it was your lifters the noise wouldn't dissapear like that.

Can I ask you to try one more thing? Can you diconnect the nuetral position sensor for the gearbox and try it like that? This in theory should cure it and I will explain why when I get the results from you.

Yeah you need to get under the car and along the gearbox you will see two wires. The long one that plugs in just where the gear lever is, is the nuetral position sensor.

Here is a pic for reference:

As far as I can see you can drive it like that, I will do a little looking into it to make sure. It may just be the solution to the VVT rattle as long as the idle stays fine.

The only negative affect you will have is the car will idle in nuetral at 1500 rpm whilst you are rolling to a stop, then when you stop it will go down to 800rpm. My car does this and it's not really a problem.

I think the rattle could be caused by 2 things...The first thing I would look at is to check my intake plenums ion warp converter, check that is operating at full working level. Just be sure to turn off your ion warp drive first... Otherwise you might run into the issue of having to refill your abampere level. Also check to make sure that the amount of Hydroassphixalins. otherwise you might need take take 1 and divide it by zero to get the correct amount.

The only other thing I think of other then that is the possibility you trying to delete your computers recycle bin at some point in time, It dividing itself by an infinite amount of times transcending time and space to reappear in your cars valve seats as a red jelly bear that is constructed from pure iodized molten KY jelly.

Dono, just a thought... ether that or you can follow the advice of the nub's above me.
