Forgot to add, I did remember to fill the box up with oil before I drove off with my new clutch
djtreble, I hate to admit that you are right, I must get over my fear of gearboxes, just like I got rid of my fear of spiders (I currently own around 60 tarantulas lol, went a little overboard there!!)
I will open it up, have a look, worst comes to worst I need a new box, which I set out to do anyway.
Oh and yes... the catpiss thing.... my gf would not come closer than about 7 meters of me for 3 days
tomorrow new plugs, fuel filter, and possibly injectors.

1st thing welcome
2nd did you get your box sorted??
I know the guys at nissan in alberton and a relative of the workshop manager owens a diff and gearbox center ( he has an awesome R35) anyway I told him sometimes my box scratches in 3 when I select it but he said ill make his company bankrupt because of all the torque thats making the scraping sound
He said when it brakes I must go to him
So if you still need help maybe get him to do it for you

Not yet sorted,
I am sourcing bearings, valve stem seals, gaskets and oil seals.
I have decided to open up the motor and have a look what is going on there, it's never been opened in 20 years!! also I have something going on when the motor is cold, like a lifter (most likely) or a slight bearing knock (maybe just as likely, the motor is old) when she warms up i just hear exhaust, injectors clicking away and a faintly squeaking pulley, no lifter noise, so I am thinking/hoping its just cold oil trying to make it's way through a semi constricted lifter
I knew this day would come though lol. And most likely, for a few grand extra I can buy a SR20 clip, but I like my CA, and I am not looking for anything over 200kw, I recon the CA can handle that reliably, but that requires throwing some money at it.... maybe I should think it over a little more
thanx for all the suggestions and help guys!
Louis.

Yo guys! Sorry to kick a dead (or still partially alive) horse. But my SX has also recently started pee'ing petrol by the injectors (little pools beneath / in between the injectors and fuel rail).
Just wanna confirm that it is the fault of leaky seals? Thanks!

Awesome, thanks rat! Will go look for new seals today. Local Bosch store should have some.
