A dyno is a tool thats all. The bullshit starts when ppl start trying to brag about their power figures.
In theory you should be able to compare the Hyperpowers figures to each other and the Dasteks figures to each other.

You cannot set the timing maps up correctly on the road and you cannot access all the fuel sites without nearly hitting tant sannie or her donkey or watching out for Sipho and Vusi.

I use the dyno to get a base fuel map and to get the timing map spot on. Then I drive the car on the road and fine tune the fuel map.

I dont actually give a shit if I have lemons oranges or watermelons as long as I have more of them after I am done.

I agree 100%, a dyno is just a tool to show you if there is any difference. I had my car dynoed at the same place to compare the difference the wolf made when tuned in JHB, the power was 162RwKw with unichip and went down to 150RwKw  with WOLF. I then had it dyno tuned again but this time here in DBN and befor we tuned it the power was 145 after the tuned the power was 205, thats with meth. This was a dastek dyno!!! Now the guys say this dyno under reads, how true it is I dont know. But there was a guy there that night that said on his dyno (wont mention shop name) this car would read about 270.

Comparing dyno's is impossible, if you want to compare cars, RACE.

Ya it seems that is the way it is.....the same with spl meaters....all of them measures different.....it is funny that all these things can't give you an acurate reading, after all, that is part of what it has to do. Ag well as you say Gary talking dyno sheets means nothing race or all go to a dyno day to see who's is stronger.

Still for me it was not about prooving my car was faster, it was about knowing what power my car can deliver.

I suppose knowing the power at the end of the day means nothing because a mini doing 90kw can whip a larger car doing 160kw....
