I haven't seen this car but from what I've heard its not a bad buy. The engine thats going in there comes out of my car and didn't give me any hassles. I did a compression check before it came out and all 4 was equal.

Unfortunately there are no guarantees on a turbo motor. :D :D
Any idiot with a heavy foot and a couple of beers can f**k it up in seconds no matter how good its been looked after or treated before.

hi and welcome

firstly, ive had my sx for over 7months, and mabe im one of the lucky ones, but hasnt given me any trouble wot so ever, has gone like a dream since ive had it (especially now with the RB  )

i feel the same way as you about buying a stock one and building it up urself. but that being said, you still have to start of with a good/solid stock one obviously, just cause its stock dont mean its fine

one piece of advice, hold out till you find the one you really really want. the first sx i looked at was the one i bought, but after the first time i looked at it, i still drove 3 others, then went back and found the first one to be the best and the one for me.

good luck with your polo sale, im sure you'l have alot more fun in an sx :D

my 2c

cheers

I think you would get to many bushitters on this forum so if you buy a car from some one here you should be save. Its normally the old toppies who are retired and bought a sx with known problem and sell it with a patchy fix to make a quick buck that screws you over.

would be good if you could to get one through the forum, because you can then get a backgound on the car etc

good luck with the search, will keep an eye open, you looking for a s13 or s14?

I still have my stock S13 , now if only someone actually had the cash !

I have stopped advertising the car because I have roadworthied the car it's licensed till next year June and have sat waiting for people to come and collect the car only to hear , I couldn't get a loan or I was trying to sell my car or my parents don't want to loan me the money.

So if there is anyone out there who wants a reasonably well looked after standard S13 and you actually have money , pm me.

No offence intended in the making of this statement !
