Personally... I would go for the VH nissan option if you want a V8... It will be more expensive, more work, etc etc etc but I will never mix brands...

I4 - SR20
I6 - RB26
V6 - VQ30
V8 - VH45 or BIGGER!

my 2c.

Partly true. There is loads of aftermarket parts for the V8 Nissan. However it will have to be imported. But local suport on that motor you will not find.

yes, the V8 were used in the Lexus LS400 LS430(3UZfe).

The 2JZGE were also used in the lexus, that's why some of the parts are available from them.

Toyota dealerships, can bring in any part for the also long as its not older than 15 years, and you have the part number, best thing about toyota engines is the parts are really cheap

guaranteed. Just one thing. when you buy a import motor do yourself a favor and change the bearings, rings and all gaskets. That of course if you are not going all the way. I personally had 4 SR powered cars and my S14 was the first one that gave up. that said it had 180000km on it when I got it and had a crappy airfilter, crappy T3/T4 and top mount manifold and was very abused and never properly retuned for the 0.8 boost. So if your are going to mod it - DO IT RIGHT - it is the only time SRs give up when guys fiddle for cheap thrills.
