Airias Pistons;

I have heard a lot of people not happy with them.

Thx Rat, Do you know why?
And what would you recommend?

I got CP pistons, a custom compression ratio though, absolutely beautiful but the order took ages through frsport.

As far as I know eagle don't do ca18 rods. I bought the spool imports rods.

Well, thats one of my problems, I dont want to chance the compression ratio too much! Can make a plan though! Well I got a quote for eagle conrods for the CA18? Hopefully its the correct ones!

so far I have never had after-market pistons in any of my cars.

CP seem about the best. Airias become very noisy until they are at running temp.

Arias are very good, they make 2 type, a zero silicone and high silicone one, the high silicone one are better for street cars as they don't expand that much and can run with tighter clearances

im running Arias pistons.. no problems

Well the pistons I will decide later!

Now I want to Know, how difficult is it to get the Motor back in the Car?

Me and my Friend (Martin: Thanx Dude!) Took about 4 hours to pull the motor!
Wouldn't it be better to take the rebuilded motor to someone to put it back?

Its not that difficult as long as you have some sort of winging apparatus to lower it back in.

Well we used a winch to take it out, But struggled a bit, Being the first motor We both Pulled out of An engine bay!

Hi, I'm with you on rebuilding the CA rather then fit SR. Gotta admit, the SR still my wish. But finance always an issue. Living in Jozi flat so no own backyard, meaning can't attempt myself. (Sucks nogal)
After countless attempts to get the Pieter's & all the other Tuners to give a quote, let alone do the job, I finally got Colin, who seems to be the 1st interested. He talks the lingo, can see in his workshop he fettles on the right stuff, and immediately gave a quote. Hmm....
All that short of selling my baby. What stopped me? That &%$*@ BM Saleman! Offered me 10grand as trade-in! That only confirmed he never owned a SX in his miserable life before. Think he never had the pleasure to sit in the passenger seat before either
Keep all posted on Colin, maybe he can be the next SX Messiah?

Gto arderdorfs and buy yourself a leveller to tilt the engine forward or backwards

Best pistons by far - a set Wiseco forged. No Slap. Little if not no extra clearance needed. plus the crown is heat treated and the skirt have an anti friction coating. plus that beautifull W logo on the side... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
