This morning I lost my 1st and 2nd gear, so rolled to Spares inc to put g/box oil. The thing is all the bolts at the bottom are stripped and we cannot get it off.

So I just filled 2.5 of oil without draining what was inside.

You think this is gonna cause a problem?

Thanks Hentiebez for offering me help but I had to get it sorted out urgently.
And shot to Aslam at Spares Inc.
Oh ja Riekert. He's almost there with the waterpump.

Now for the BOV testing.[/b]

I've added gearbox oil but the clutch is still low and in the mornings, I cant get 1st and 2nd gear and only when the car heats up it then only can I select the gears.

What could be causing this?

Im gonna try to adjust the pin for the clutch hopefully it resolves the problem.

You cant adjust the pin i think you might need to replace the seals.

You can adjust the pin under the drivers side for a high clutch or low clutch.

What seals you refering to?

I thought you ment the one on the slave cylinder, dont think adjusting your paddle hight will solve your problem. Im talking about the slave and master cylinder seals. Bad idea for now cause youll need the car saterday.

Does it get better if you pump it a few times?

Not really. It only starts working properly when the car heats up.

Youll need to get the old gearbox oil out and replace it.

remove the front section of propshaft and jack the front of the car up - that will get 95% of the old oil out!

once the prop is back in, fill it through the gearstick hole!
