i have the same maxima and the other import motor . i checked the rail and injectors they are side feeds. so your plan is to use the backie manifold and a topfeed injector and rail.the ones i have wont work .you will have to use a custom made rail?!?!?!
as for the local rb's they were rb30e and rb20e NO de or det.well start fitting the motor this weekend to get the engine mountings right.I ma looking for a 21R toyota box ,anyone in capetown got one?

I was thinking if I use the manifold on the parthfinder typ vg that uses top feed I can just carry it over to my engine and re route all the piping.

If it is the cas you are talking about it is not interchangeble between 4 and 6 cylinders....there is a "plate" inside with degrees that sends message back to computer to the alline timing and fuel....you can take the plate out and put it in the right cas....

no but think you can get a bellhousing off a old skyline to fit it

ask sokar - i think he knows.

but apparently the bellhousing from an RB20det will fit onto your ca18 box. and then you will have the RB engine side pattern on your ca18 box!

problem is i dont have any of these ..YET... but the knowlege is key before i spend even if it is a small amount. Gonna have a look at aRB20 box over the weekendfor R2500 wich is cheap, and a direct fit.
