As I've e-mailed to smoothedgp, I'm not keen on the ticket for drift ride idea just yet, so this won't happen. Maybe the Rock or the drift club can do this.

Ok, I met with Alan from GMS show. It seems what they want is much bigger than what I thought. They want a *minimum* of 15 cars on the stand (ideally 20)! The stand area is 10m by 30m. This will be for one day only (the Monday, which is a public holiday). We will have to pay entrance fees, but the stand is free.

So, here are the problems:
1. It's hard enough getting 2 cars on display, can we do 15? I'd need most of the club to pool together and make this happen, like with the drift event last year. The cars must be clean and neat.
2. We will need way more than just a gazebo and a banner. We will need balloons, fliers, flags, tables, chairs, etc.
3. We will need to spend the whole day there. At least, being the GMS show, we can walk around and enjoy the show while our cars are on display.

So, is it possible to get 15 to 20 cars at the show? I will need *serious* commitment, like for example each person volunteering will pay a deposit that you will get back when your car is at the show. I can't promise them 20 cars, and then only have 5 pitch up.

Please can I have feedback from everyone whether we're going to try to make an event and a big show of this, or let it pass. As I said, I will need serious commitment. Thanks!

I can chat to PFB, seeing him tomorrow, he might be keen, we can also tow VC's car if its not running by then.

Also, I dont mind putting my car there, but its not a 200sx and its my anniversary weekend :P

I've declined the offer from GMS for the stand. We cannot get enough cars on the show stand. However, I will try to organise a smaller stand with Max My Ride if possible, so I'll keep you posted.

In any case, I'd like to go to the show even as a spectator, so if anyone wants to come along, we can do an SX event where we meet and drive to the show in convoy.

I'm keen to attend as a spectator and lend support where I can even though I'm not an owner anymore. If you need any help let me know.

Hi Guys. the GMS was dominated by drift spec Nissans. mainly 200sx's. The rock had the modified section sorted. Max also had a 13b rx7 looks like it was done by a company in japan called RE which is the best co. For Rx7's. The modifying scene seems to be dominated by drifters. Purple turtle was giving drift rides and that car sounds awesome. Max looked like they worked their butts off all weekend and I felt SnS never come to the party and deliver the goods. It was a good show. With track monsters everywhere from a few s/charged mustangs to lambo track rides to camel rides. Yes camels where there as well. I really enjoyed it esp. The Rocks Arsenal of machines! Anyone else attend?
