Howzit guy's.
My SX was a automatic, so it did'nt come out with a LSD....
I took my Dif in to be welded shut, and it works out beautifully, Jay-Boy just did the same as me, and he is also pleasd.
Its allot cheaper than a proper LSD, and no real side efects, just your turning radious is increased, and don't try and be brave in the wet on the road, it gets little twitchy with the lock diff, but nothing scary.
Just remember, that if you go this rout, there is no going back, unless you buy a LSD, because if you lock diff break, its over, you need to replace and do the whole process over again, there is no way you will be able to fix it, its gone!!!
A propel LSD will set you back about R9500.00 and a secondhand SX diff, about R1800.00-R2500.00, and the welding about R1800.00.
Hope this help you guy's in making the right desision for your application.
All I can say, is that I'm verry happy I welded my dif, it works beautifully for the drifting, but I know some of you out there dont need the same aplications than the drift ouks.
P.S. Happy sliding!

Cool, sounds good to me:) Shot for the info.
....and you say street driving is fine with the welded diff, as i dont have a trailer so i'll need to drive to all the tracks ( sometimes fairly far ).

Not a problem.
I drove my car down to Mafakeng a couple of weeks ago for an event, and so did Tim from the rock, his dif also welded.
Flo also used to drive his car from Kimberly and back for practice, and even once to Cape Town, with lockd diff, no warry's.
Go ahead, weld that diff, just take it to a decent place.
