yeah it all ends up what you get done... getting the head reconditioned is most probably the most expensive part...

well the head is almost done, not working too hard on the engine atm but getting there, got most of my parts over the weekend. Just trying to source 16 new lifters and still need to take the pistons in

Jip took it apart. Looks mostly good hey, couple of small marks on the sleeves, bearings looked pretty good too although some are worn uneven.
Looks like the rings on cyl. 2 where giving up but the rest where mint

The head was a beauty, although missing lifters as it turns out!

Main problem, that cog(?) on the crank must have been really forced on or something, it refuses to come off. no matter what i try

missing lifters... aaah know I know what engines lifters in my garage...

if you want them let me know I can organize to have them ready for you if you want them

but otherwise its good to hear the motor is mostly mint... had the same problem with that gog... didn't want to damage the oil pump so I gave up...

eventually got that crank thingy off

built a puller, drilled and tapped 2 holes and pulled the bitch out...she didnt want to have any of it, but as usual i won in the end
