Gary - I think the shiiping and import tax is gonna kill the price in anyway..... It damn expensive to import from US, honestly, think your wasting your time
Import from the states isn’t that bad.

I might be interested, I will rather import then run local but that’s my opinion

What can possibly go wrong with them, it is CNC machine Ali thats all. Replace the bolts and you are set.

No I would far rather get the ones that FSR has but I can almost guarentee that they come from the same factory I can get them from. So I dont want to pay a premium for them.

Will do Pink.

Seriously I cant see anything going wrong with the cam gears so the gaurentee doesnt really matter much.

You'd think. But my experience with local tuning shops etc are that when the $hit hits the fan they claim innocence!! I had a R20k n/a motor blow up cause some dick didn't notch the pistons to clear the oil squirters. So 1500 kms later the motor was stuffed and idiot suddenly reckons. "Gaurantee is void cause you must have been racing it!!" WTF? Did he think I had the motor built to drive to the local spar and back?

Not that that mattered cuase the motor broke before I could even run it in!! nevermind race it.

I can almost guarantee you that any guarantee won't be worth the paper it's written on. Best case you will get another set of cam gears from them if something went wrong. And your stuffed motor will be for your pocket. And then having had such an experience with their pulley would you want to put the new pulley they gave you under guarantee back in your engine?

just my 2c.

I know a place locally that can mod them for R350 (last time I checked) but I prefer something with proper markings telling you how many mm or degrees you've adjusted and where TDC is etc.

Having said that I've seen some Greddy gears for a SR and at almost R3800 they didn't impress me with their quality. So if I find a $50 set witht he right markings then I'll run them anyday (with some locktite off course :-)

Now, next question is why do we need cam gears? How many of us have aftermarket cams?? And don't good quality cams have their profiles cut to work on TDC - like the poncams?

Doc these ones I can get are $50  , just getting a price on shipping. Can anyone find any cheaper??

I think there is a lot of power to be made with verniers (on my engine) this is why I keen to get a set.
