35K is way too much for thatr kind of money , i wuld expext a nice set of 20's and sr20 race rebuild and a life time surply of blow jobs from angelina jolie and get change........ ,my double cab rolled , i stripped it myself had it fixed and painted for under 10k, so shop around bra...and as for paint, buy a fairly reputable paint( doesent have to be an expensive brand) get a good spraypainterBUT the trick would be in the proper preparation,if its not prepared prperly,no matter if you have chip foose spraying, it will not be as good as it could have been if prepared properly.I still have to assemble the double cab, but ill try and post befor and afters just for sh1ts and gigles.

between 30 and 35k.

very long warranty on the paint! something about a lifetime!

That is just to much
I agree a lifetime is way too much!! stressing about paint. oil, rebuilds, petrol price and thats the short list!

No way dude, that just seems WAY to expensive, lifetime warranty or not...

Does that price include a tub of vaseline? :D

a mousterbaaik - but i really want to at least try it twice myself before i send it out. havent got a lot of spraying experience, but it is one of those ME, IVE DONE IT, things

i'll probably need a plastic primer for the fairing? eh?

i have some evil plans with it, but it involves mostly black paint, but then i wanna put some of them flecks in the clear coat - what y'all reckon?

def right - those are plastic fairings, so plastic primer is a good idea.

then why dont you contact premchem - they sell all kinds of automotive paints.

they also probably have better advice than us tjops!!!

and think about it - a decent exterior sprayjob is about 12-15k. more if they strip things off instead of masking them off. and then we get to the interior - they have to strip everything (EVERYTHING) to do an interior sprayjob!!!

then spray a bit and then put it all back. why shouldnt that be a LOT more than an exterior spray job???

so 14k + 16k = 30k!!!

doesnt seem so bad to me - when you think about all the costs involved!

AS FAR AS MY EXPERIENCE GOES YOU NEED,
A PRIMER: NOT TOO SURE IF YOU NEED A SPICIFICK PRIMER COZ IVE PAINTED PLASTIC BEFORE & USED HS PRIMER(HIGH (SOLVENT)FILLING PRIMER FOR WETSAND) IF SO I DO HOWEVER THINK YOU WILL NEED SOME KIND OF ETCHPRIMER TO STICK TO PLASTIC THEN HS PRIMER SO YOU CAN WETSAND BEFORE BASE.
THE PAINT(BASE) YOU MOSTPROBABLY WILL NEED IS 2K BASE PAINT THAT YOU ALSO WETSAND AFTER APPLICATION & BUFF OUT, FOR THAT YOU DONT NEED CLEAR COZ IT DOES THE SAME EFFECT AFTER ITS POLISHED OUT.
