I ask because mine use to do that, I made it better by setting the clutch higher...., sometimes when I changed gears on heavy driving(6000 rpm and higher) it would scratch and not go in now and then.

I agree, when my clutch was fooked and slipped like ky on the floor, it scratched as well. After getting a new clutch fitted the scratch was gone!

I bought a new clutch from nissan, R3000 later, and the best of all, three weeks later it started slipping again!

Now aint that nice.

But Im goona take the car to CBS clutch and brake and hear if they can modify the clutch with a stronger pressure plate or sumthing.

Dont want button clutch

You could have saved some money if you tried a 5 spoke button clutch with springs and a double diafram preasure plate, I got a quote from a guy in pta for R1000. Myself and Freddy paid around R2500 if I am not mistaken then I found this guy with this price....

yea I also have a copper clutch, is slightly harder than stock, sits slightly higher, but fine to drive in traffic.

i bought the cheapest crappiest clutch ever and i was pleasantly surprised.

i got a valeo clutch for R750.00, installed it myself and its lasted for over 18 months so far, 12 months of which i've been drifting.

its a standard spec clutch for a ca18det too, nothing upgraded.

i really have been pleasantly surprised with this clutch, cos i really thought it wouldn't last 2 weeks!!!
