i am keen to take a drive down to durbs by the sea side next year.... i will be fun getting the jhb guys to all go together in a chain.... maybe all hook up some accommodation and chill and watch some F1 cars.... definately sounds kick ass...

Drove my car a couple of times to DBN. Less lag in DBN & car idles better.........must be the salt in the air :)

You gotta have a very big tent.....my car always sleeps inside, undercover parking only.....she catch a cold if not covered properly. :(

I can organise accommodation - but I will need to know exactly how many ppl are coming, including family/friends, etc.

The sooner the better, 'cos availability is very low in Durban at that time. I think by nid Jan I will have to have final numbers, otherwise I will not get booking. The cost will depend entirely on the number of people coming, and the available places I get, but you can expect it to be between R50 to R200 per night per person. I can only confirm the cost once I've made bookings.

Yes, parking could be an issue - we may have to find a nearby parkade and pay to park there or something.

FYI, I've bought my tickets from Computicket. I bought a 3 day pass for the silver grand stands - works out to R550 per person. I'll be sitting in grand stand 22 right at the top. If you guys buy your tickets, let me know so that I know how many people are coming. My SX will almost definately not be running in time for this though.

aaaa that sucks

my is running sweet now put a cone filter on it and its making that cats peeering sound now.. Sounds sweet. Oh i am keep for the A1 its just the accommodation. I might be able to stay by family its the stands open or do u reserve seats

Stand seats are reserved. The general area (picnic area where there are no seats) is obviously open, and costs about R160 for the race.
