u have just left me confused.
i dont understand then that the FPR on our cars are referenced with boost/vacuum. if they run static pressures, then why even bother with manifold pressure references and air bypass solenoids etc.
what does the nissan 200sx factory service manual say - its been a while since i read it, and mine is not at hand at the moment???
another thing - the boost/vacuum reference adjusts the diaphram in the FPR. if you want regular pressure, why not just unplug that reference, and set the regulator at the desired pressure.
but the way i see it, is that at boost the engine will require more fuel than needed at idle, so a rising rate regulator will allow that!

hi chemcool,ChemCool wrote:Vlade, where did you source this FPR from?? Me also need to know?i say check out there, you dont have to spend 1100 on the nismo item. i think i paid about 400 for mine! and it came free with an adapter that fitted straight onto my fuel rail.
its difficult for you, i know, but my name is veecee. yes we (vlade and i) have the same coloured cars, and both our aliases start with "V" - and we both talk a lot of technical shit, but come on!!!!

the first FPR i got was from volkspares - thats where i got the adapter. but i'm not using that fpr anymore, its just lying there looking for a good home because it was too large for me, and it had a seal that i could not find a replacement o-ring for!
so i have a new one, bought from precision race technologies, it was at least half the price of the nismo one, and it hasnt given a day of shit yet. it has a glycerine filled gauge (NICE) and it looks quite pretty too!!!
i saw some of those adapters in a display cabinet in turbo toys, where charel works!
