i would say spend the money on nice ratchet spanners. they really helped when i did this last.

not to loosen or tighten the nuts and bolts, but for the inbetween bits!

you will need 12, 14, 17, 19 - depending on your methods!

I blame Boltz (only joking man)

My turbo gaskets have gone to cr@p yesterday. looks like I have blown number 4 or The Manifold to turbo one OR both damn nissan

This Tubular manifold keeps ejecting the studs after a month or so.(literally)
Anyway I need to fix the Cam seal and will port that little turbo when shes off.

Damn there goes my budget

If its the turbo studs then trust me and fit the locking tabs, I had the same issue.

Buy the Nissan ones. I bought the 4 exhaust manifold port gaskets when I bought my sx in anticipation of this. They weren't too pricey if I recall.

I've had a leak for the past 3 months and haven't had the courage to attempt the job yet. Maybe winter has something to do with it. I dunno.

I noticed yesterday however that the head stud that the manifold bolts to is not sticking out of the manifold, so it must have broken off. The one right by the firewall's side nogals.

Vaughn you still keen on the job? :? :)

Job done, holy hell that was a challenge!
removed all the pipes and the exhaust, and had to bend a spanner with a oxy-acet flame so it looked like a banana(for one of the bolts on the back of the turbo)
Probably removed more than i had to but it all worked in the end :)
Took around 5 hours, lots of coke and some good music!

Well With the tubular manifold you have to remove the ABS bracket to ge thte Bast@rd out.

Anyway ordered the gaskets from Nissan:

4 x Head to Manifold gaskets
1 x Manifold to head
2 x Locking tabs
4 x Studs

R 500

2 x Locking tabs
Cost me like R6 each or something, had them laser cut.
