OK!

So time for a bit of a update on this. Its been a while!

Seem welding on the car is done. What a crap job!

We are busy with the body. Making moulds for the body kit. This is even a worse job! We are doing everything ourselves and doing it from scratch. Luckily the old man has done this so many times! But awesome for me as its something new I can do now!

By the rules we are allowed to go wider by 60mm, precisely what we need to fit the compomotive wheels.

These pics show the "mould: that we are currently making. Its still in a very rough stage. So dont get a fright!

The rear we have not brought out at all yet, this is one of the first steps when making the mould.

Thats some great times! Sure he will dip into the 1:21 min around the track with semis! Full slicks that car will be insane around the track.

I think we are gonna see some good racing next year between the 4wd cars!

A little update on the track car:

Gearbox - This as you know is the GTiR and any sentra's worse part! It just doesnt last! This has been one of our main concerns.

Decided to bite the bullet. Quaife gears it is!

Bought a complete gearbox from the UK with Quaife gears (all of the gears) and uprated forks. Gears are not straight cut, its helical.

Now that the gears are sorted, your next problem is........the casing! :( As soon as you start pushing too much power or force, the casing breaks open. We then did some research to find out where the gearbox has its weak spot and made a brace to ensure it doesnt break open there.

Where they break:

Pic of 1 piece of the brace, more still to come:

Started with bracing:

So only time will tell if this will work. There has been some guys running these gears and these bracing that run anything upto 550hp and not have a days problem with the gearbox. So fingers crossed!

We have been hard at work with the body. Now this might not be to allot of peoples likeing but this car is about function over form. Everything is still in a very rough form right now.

These panels you see now is the panels we will use to make the mould from. Once the mould has been made, only then will we be pulling the panel fromthe mould itself.

There is still allot of finishing work to do..........

Front:

Headlights and fender will be one....headlight will be modified for CAI later....

At the bottom of the fend at the back of the arch you can see it extends to the back, that will join upto the boxed sideskirts we will also make.
