steel turbine kit allows for higher boost, comes with 360' thrust, and i'm also getting the compressor wheel upgrade from 42 to 46mm
will prob be good for 500hp without NOS, but not sure if i'm actually going to use them yet - might have something else soon

500hp, thats more then i expected from those relatively small turbo's, good to hear tho
are you thinking single turbo?
personal opinion, but if i had a gtr i would have to keep it twin

toyed with the idea, but pretty sure that i wont be going single turbo...
it will be twins, just not sure which ones yet

Rudeboy - There has been claims for certain people (not gonna name names) that when you want a RB26 motor to make decent power you need to get rid of the ITB's, cams and so on. How accurate is this?

define descent power... depends what you after i quess
all out drag or dyno queen will prob be better with plenum and single TB
i really want to go after responce this time, have a look at the mines R34, it runs stock ITB's

i'm sure you know, but alot of gtr owners swear by the HKS 2530's, glad to hear you keeping the twins
responce=twins fo sho
the mines GTR is awesome, and shows of the true potential of balance, it doesnt make mad amounts of hp or anything like that, and has beaten alot of much more powerfull cars, i think it was the fastest gtr in japan for a while (i think i read it on speedhunters.com).
so descent power is all relative, it also depends on application
balance and fine tuning is potent

mines GTR
just my 2c
(i know 99% of you know alot more then me)

Good god! That thing flux off!
9000rpm! Is that on stock vavletrain?
No I really need to rob a bank for a GTR!

watch this space
2530's are good but expensive, looking at the garrett gt2860-5's
they good for 600 to 700hp and spool quicker than the 2530's
see garrett link for specs and see pic , black line = 2530's and brown line = 2860-5 (spools quicker and makes similar power)

my rb25 use to limit at 8800rpm (not stock valve train)
my gtr, was already limiting at 8800rpm when i bought it (ecu tuned by Veilside) - std limit = 8200rpm, rb26 runs solid lifters so revs aint much of a issue. if i should fit a Ati damper pulley and standalone ECU rev limit will be 9000+ rpm

(of topic, but doesnt the E46 m3 also use solid lifters?)

Twins are nice, Vlakkies had a "special" set of twins, ITB's, Greddy valvetrain and he made 880HP with 150hp NOS, so if that is what you are more or less aiming for, it will make a real hardcore GT-R.
He was faster than the white Top Secret R34 (Big single turbo) on every event.
400m = 10.2
1000m = 298km/h
Really exited to see this build.
Wish you a smooth path to you destination.

Thank you - and yea thats more like what I'm after, 600 to 700hp boost only for track / twisty bits and then add 100odd hp nos for the straight line events

That Mines GTR are just awesome. Sure this GTR build wont be far behind

.
RB26's are great engines, as are the twin turbo's.
