CARBON FIBRE VINYL

Gary, about 2 weeks I was looking at a suppliers catalogue of this stuff that had little sample patches stuck in it.

It ranged from the horrible old flat printed carbon look film, to a woven finish 3d plastic film, very real looking from a distance but up real close you could see it was fake, to one that was almost indistinguishable from a 2x2 twill weave carbon with a good thin clear resin over it.

These vinyl films have definitely come a long way in looking like real carbon now.

I have another carbon vinyl that looks more like carbon with the clear coating over it. it has a metal backing, so it can only be stuck onto flat surfaces. I can take some pics if you want to see it.

The last 4 pics posted are of the metal backing carbon look vinyl. It has i high gloss look. It CAN NOT be used to wrap with. Only flat surfaces.
The past pics just shows the difference between the two gloss - non wrap & matt - wrap

what I've seen people do is they spray like an epoxy over it to make it look even more realistic
