The tempo is determent by the wattage of the bulb, the lower the wattage the quicker it will flash seeing that you flasher unit is build for a certain wattage.

Well I built my own little lights for the indicators(side ones) ith about 6 LED's per light and they flash constant with the rest of the indicators. I had to however put a resistor or two in drop the voltage.
but they are bright in sunlight too

Sorry to correct you, but the tempo is determined by the resistance.
