CA18DET motor sale - complete
edit
Motor is stock, oem as it came from the factory. Not an import. About 300k on it but runs well. Focus ST eater. Last dynoed at 160kw at the fly. Has a little oil leak on the rear crank seal since I bought the car about 3 years ago, but other than that it hasn't given me any hassles.
Everything still in the car. In regular use. So you can get a drive in it before you buy. Looking at about R5000 onco.

Gary I'm actually really keen on a RB20DET swap.. But there is a complete SR20DET front clip also calling me.
What do you think the advantage of getting a front clip is over a motor alone? Worth the bucks??
Charl. Thanks bro. The motor only has a 3" exhaust and a really large cone filter. Did an electric fan conversion and a BOV. Then the timing was set on the dyno. That was it.
I've added a big FMIC recently and a walbro (which REALLY made a big difference). I suspect it's even stronger now. Just need to replace engine mountings. She shakes me up a bit.

I would say the front clip is better! cause you get everything you need... with the motor alone there is always some plug or wire missing. Go for it man!Doctor G wrote:Gary I'm actually really keen on a RB20DET swap.. But there is a complete SR20DET front clip also calling me.

Now you're talking, no better way to kill a CA than to chop it into pieces and scatter them accross the globe!Doctor G wrote:final bump.
If not gone by mid nov, I think I'm going to have to part this motor out and sell it piece by piece.
complete head (silent lifters)
intake manifold
exhaust manifold
t25 garett
sub assembly (std size)
Coil packs
